Scow sailors do like some nice weather to go sailing in. So when the hottest day of the year so far dawned the omens were good. We started on the apron with a practical session on rigging Scows.
Armed with tips from Graham Sunderland of what makes Scows go fast, we got the tape measure out and compared some mast heights and rakes. We did go for a sail and worked on keeping the boat moving through the gusts and lulls.Photos of the sails were posted to the training group and the next session is planned for Wednesday 22 May at 10.00am. You can book online or contact Anne Barlow or Tony Burton.
