Brading Haven Yacht Club Sailability
Brading Haven Yacht Club is part of the RYA Sailability nationwide scheme which offers people of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the fun and freedom of the on the water activities we have at the club.
We have excellent on the water activities facilities, the club location is Bembridge Harbour which is ideal for sailors at every level. Sailability sessions run from April to October on a Friday but we also have 1-1 sessions available to book
Taster Sessions
If you have never been in a boat before come and join in one of our taster sessions. We have club boats in which you can come down and enjoy some time on the water. You will be taken out with a very experienced member in one of our dinghies or powerboats.
RYA courses
BHYC is proud to be an RYA accredited Training Centre and has OnBoard status for younger members so if you wish to develop from recreational sailing and join some courses you can.
Accessibility
The club and the clubhouse are all mainly on one level and we do have ramps if needed. In the clubhouse we have an accessible shower and toilet.
Safety
Safety is paramount and comfort is important. We have access to boats that can support Sailability and we have fully-equipped patrol boats on the water for the group's sailing sessions.
What do you need to wear?
We provide buoyancy aids and spray tops so please come suitably dressed for a few hours on the water.
How can I book ?
Sailability Sessions take place on a Friday, and run from April to October. If you are 10 years old or older, please email us so we can book you in for a taster session. Many children and adults are accompanied by a member of their family, carer or friend. Everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy watching the sessions.
