Cruising News - Bealieu 6th June
The Cruising Section managed two rallies during June heading for Beaulieu on 6th June for two nights. On Tuesday evening we organised a BBQ for all crews, who brought a variety of food. A good fun time was enjoyed by all! The following evening all gathered at the Master Buildings Hotel. The food was very good and reasonably priced but drinks prices were expensive. I would say over the top. It was perfect weather apart from a fresh Easterly wind on the return trip home which made the spray fly but all made it home safely.
On Tuesday 20th June, Lymington was our destination for two nights. We were able to dock at Town Quay which made it very enjoyable. On the first evening we all feasted at The Ship Hotel and the second night, you guessed it, up the hill to Wetherspoons. Good food and drinks at great prices. Again it was perfect weather all the way and off Cowes there was a big Flotilla of sailing vessels to admire which all added to an enjoyable outing.
