2025 RYA Week: Stage 4

RYA Youth Stage 4: This course covers many of the same skills in Stage 3 but in a double handed boat. E.g. RS Feva.

Stage 4 will go into detail of:

1. Rigging
2. Launching
3. Using rope and knots effectively
4. improving your sailing techniques by deepening your knowledge and skills.
5. How to solve a variety of potential problems afloat
6. the importance of communication between the helm and the crew

It will introduce you to racing and the technical aspects of how a sail and boat works as well as some of the rules of sailing.

Cadets must be able to swim and be 8 years and over.
