We are pleased to be able to introduce Chef Chris Webb and Front of House Emily Cox as our new catering franchise. Some of you will already have met them at the Club as they have been spending time here in preparation for their official start today, the 22nd March.
You are cordially invited to a 'meet and greet' evening with them on Thursday 29th March at 6.30pm where they will be providing a selection of nibbles and a range of tasters to whet your appetite for their main meals. They will also be serving a heavily discounted menu that evening from 7.30pm - 9pm so you can sit down and try some of their main dishes in a more relaxed way. For the Evening meals it's best to book in advance to avoid disappointment and if you would like to try some of Chefs nibbles along with your drinks make sure to arrive with time to spare as once it's gone it's gone!
This week a limited selection of lunches will be served on Friday and Saturday. Friday evening is the Rugby supper and additional meals can be booked in advance. Saturday evening is the Fitting Out Supper with menu choices and places to be booked on the Club notice board. On Sunday a roast lunch will be provided. Next week, service will be provided from Thursday with lunches and evening meals.
Next Tuesday evening sees the last of this years talks with Linda Briant describing her exciting Fastnet experience. The menu for this meal is on the club notice board and must be booked in advance.
Menus over Easter will change on a daily basis as Chef Webb builds up his larder but expect to see such dishes as Bembridge Crab Ramekin, Baked Isle of Wight Cheese Sharer, Slow-cooked Pork Ribs with Homemade Bourbon Barbecue sauce, Smoked Salmon and Asparagus tart, a beautiful selection of fresh sandwiches at lunch and Emily's Special Brownie!
Chris and Emily will always welcome your feedback on their dishes and service, as will we. We are keen to ensure an effective and viable catering service at the club and will put details of the weekly menus in the newsletter.
